pretty little liars.

Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save
Better lock it, in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you
Won't tell what I said
Cause two can keep a secret
If one of the them is dead…

who are you?

you broke my heart from the start
made me work, work so hard
to get where I am, to where I'd let you do it all again.

three categories of relationships.

over a recent patio bevy with a close femme, talking politics of course- I have come to a three category system for relationships at this point in my life. there is the game, screwing, and love. the game entails one party playing 'the game' and the other getting played. usually one remains the game player and the one getting played doesn't realize until they find them selves falling in love - at which point the game ends and game player finds a new toy. screwing is a recipe for disaster but can also turn into love- at which point the screwing stops. get your mind out of the gutter - I am referring to screwing with one's mind. in this category- there is a lot of passion but there are also lots of mind games- calculations, a constant shift in power. love means texting five times in a row because you are not worried about what the other thinks- and neither do they, love works as long as it's both ways.
find someone that always makes things better- the second someone adds stress or anything negative to your life they are not meant to compliment you, and that is everything a relationship should do.

toronto g20.

living in downtown toronto - I had the insane experience of witnessing the g20 nightmare that took over the city this weekend. a group of radicals- not to be confused with protestors (which are encouraged and supported in our democratic society) became very violent and raised complete anarchy on the streets of down town toronto. maybe a skype conference should be suggested for the next summit?

billion dollar idea.

just when you think you've lost all faith in humanity and the money grabbing suits up top. they pull out something like this: a billion dollar idea. bill and melinda gates along with warren buffet have agreed to donate half of their net worth to charity- during their life time or after they die. they are starting this campaign and hoping to get other billionaires on board. if the campaign succeeds it will change the face of philanthropy.

you're so money and you don't even know it.

lessons in life courtesy of swingers
Mike: Okay, so what if I don't want to give up on her?
Rob: You don't call.
Mike: But you said I don't call if I wanted to give up on her.
Rob: Right.
Mike: So I don't call either way?
Rob: Right.
Mike: So what's the difference?
Rob: There is no difference right now. See, Mike, the only difference between giving up and not giving up is if you take her back when she wants to come back. But you can't do anything to make her want to come back. In fact, you can only do stuff to make her not want to come back.
Mike: So the only difference is if I forget about her or just pretend to forget about her?
Rob: Right.
Mike: Well that sucks.
Rob: Yeah, it sucks.
Mike: So it's just like a retroactive decision, then? I mean I could, like, forget about her and then when she comes back make like I just pretended to forget about her?
Rob: Right. Although probably more likely the opposite.
Mike: What do you mean?
Rob: I mean at first you're going to pretend to forget about her, you'll not call her, I don't know, whatever... but then eventually, you really will forget about her.
Mike: Well what if she comes back first?
Rob: Mmmm... see, that's the thing, is somehow they know not to come back until you really forget.
Mike: There's the rub.
Rob: There's the rub.

Cause we'd be so free
Happy alone
Sharing a smile
So far from home
And we would laugh
Laugh till we cry
Making a song
Making me lie

boys explained: the dunning kruger effect

The Dunning Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority. This leads to the perverse situation in which less competent people rate their own ability higher than more competent people. It also explains why actual competence may weaken self-confidence: because competent individuals falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. "Thus, the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others."

make your destiny.

Some people get confused about manifesting & the law of attraction, & think it is about being positive & thinking woo-woo thoughts & waving a stick of incense around. It really isn’t! Manifesting is about getting the universe to meet you halfway. It’s about doing the work while having faith that things will work out for the best. It’s about knowing that what you want is coming to you — but also knowing that you have to start the ball rolling. After all, if you just sit in your room thinking about what you want, but don’t get out there & tell anyone about it, or do some research, or take any real actionable steps, how will anything ever happen?

thank you gala
